The Paskin Group Volunteers with the United Way of Santa Barbara

Last Friday, two members of our team spent the morning volunteering with the United Way of Santa Barbara County reading to students at Franklin Elementary School.

This organization is passionate about student’s futures, mirroring our goal to invest in community. The annual program, United We Read, pairs young professionals in the community with a classroom in a local elementary school. Our volunteers chose one of their favorite childhood books to read to 3rd grade classrooms and then donated them to the library at Franklin Elementary School. In order to encourage students to continue planning for their futures, our team was also happy to stay for a short Q&A with the students, answering questions about their educational experiences in college. In short, we had a blast and would like to encourage you to consider becoming involved with this program! We also volunteer regularly with different organizations in our community.
